About Lesa:
I was born in California; moved to Oregon, Ohio, Arizona, back to Ohio, back to Arizona, and back again to Ohio(!), all before the age of ten. At eighteen I decided I’d had enough of the wonderful-for-raising-kids small town, and was on to various suburbs (five to be exact) around Washington DC. Sixteen years of the rat race (and a seven year-old daughter who wanted to live in a place that had “trees and mountains”) brought me out west to Colorado. I guess in a way that makes me an expert, of sorts, on the variety of housing choices. At the very least, I understand the desire to move, as well as the dilemma of packing!
During my stint in the DC area, I was employed by the FBI for nine years. (Ahh yes, you see what happened to them after I left!) Working for the government was extremely educational; for instance, I know waaay more than I care to mention about red tape! However, I’m also very adept at research. Give me a wish list, and I’ll give you a handful of homes to choose from. And talk about being able to maintain confidentiality!……… need I say more?
Being a REALTOR®, as well as all of my prior occupations, has required extensive organizational skills. I’m not sure whether I picked those jobs because of that particular aspect, or the jobs picked me because of it. Either way, I am rather (ok, fine, extremely) persnickety when it comes to organization. I believe that’s a good thing. As the saying goes, a place for every thing and every thing in it’s place.
I am especially familiar with several cities along the Front Range, having lived in a third of them since my move, as well as some of the larger towns nearby. While I love the more relaxed atmosphere of the West (including the hiking/camping aspect...well, “grown to like” is a more accurate term I suppose), I’m still a bright-lights-big-city-girl at heart. When I occasionally need my metropolis fix, I head back east. There’s nothing like New York City at Christmas, or standing shoulder-to-shoulder with a bazillion people in Times Square on New Year’s Eve!
Ok, now I’ll have to get serious for just a moment. Sorry. Bear with me. In addition to being a REALTOR®, I am a member of the Loveland/Berthoud Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). I continue to take related real estate classes as they become available. (Blah, blah, blah) There. That wasn’t so bad, was it? Short, sweet, and to the point…....just like me!
